Day 131 - Oct 1 - Quebec City Show Day

See our happy little guy, at 75 degrees and 49% humidity we are pretty well set thermally for the gig though I would not complain if I could get another 5 degrees and over 65%.

I was able to grab a couple load out shots that give a bit better representation of the precarious nature of fork lift ramp loading.

Pretty much the main thing you want to avoid is having the forklift run over your foot. That and being crushed by a run away case is also a good thing to avoid.

As the end of the tour leg nears, the anticipation and acceleration of the state of mind of being home seems to take over. Counting down the days and one more to go!

Since Canada is really far from Australia, what better time to consider the Kangaroo.

Dave, maybe you can help me out with this one because I had a hard time hearing what Anthony was saying. Who was the guy who came up on stage at the Quebec show and sang a bit and why? I really wished I would have been able to catch what this moment was all about. Regardless, it made me smile :)

Dave Rat on :

That was Chris Warren, the drum tech. Chris plays keyboards on Snow, plays the vocoder Anthony vocal effect sound on By The Way and few other bits as well. He is super cool and well loved by all. They like to have him come out and sing the intro to Give It Away.

Hey Dave! I knew I should have made a quick run at the console to thank you for making my favorite band sounds that good! Me and my band (tribute to RHCP) would like our sound to look like that, I'll start by offering myself an OM7 then we'll wait for you to come back in Quebec for some more tips ;) We love RHCP and love all the crew members for bringing my fav band to me!

Dave Rat on :

Very cool, thank you Djordan! And please do come say hello next time! And for the om7, give Daniella at the Rat shop a call, I know we buy them brand new 100 at a time and sell them at a lower price than anyone else. As long as you keep your lips close the mic, they are the way to go.
