Day 411 - Everything Kills Yet Nothing is Toxic

I never cease to be amazed at how willingly people offer opinions about things they have no clue about yet they speak with a such bravado in their false authority? While pondering one of those gaseous blabbering's as I read while electro-wandering the thoughts carried me to a viewpoint illuminating that aspect of of our world where humans scurry from a plethora of fears. It must be disconcerting for them to realize that water is toxic. What is it that inspires that useless desire to form a black and white overlay upon our lives? Pure clean water kills and radioactivity is abundant in red bricks from which we build our houses, yet only in debatably harmless amounts. Can it be true that snake venom sufficiently diluted it is healthier than overeating an abundance of leafy greens? Will we continue to fail to realize that it is not the substance but the quantity and balance that perpetuates life and continue to be cursed with propagating confusion? Of course we will as the ultimate quandary is that everything kills and the primary cause of death is life itself. Oh, and speaking of red bricks and houses, check it out:

Looking down at the full "pre-modified" state. Notice the wall of blockage.

Bye bye wall, Bye bye all the walls and see we do and hello big beams.

And then came the cool bio friendly blue stuff to add the coziness.

Bye bye bad 70's fireplace that would be more at home in a porn movie and hello drywall with bull nose corners.

A bit o primer paint really cleans things up.

Add in a simple concrete fireplace surround and some acid stain on the floor and it is getting closer.

And hopefully someday, I dream of having a place to sit!

Hi Dave-- I've read your blog almost from the beginning, and while I don't comment, I just wanted to let you know that I'll miss you when your blog is over. There are probably lots of us out here in space that will. I'm sad the tour's ending; happy for the musical humans and the incredible pit crew that's been on the road for the last 2 years and must never want to play or hear Snow (Hey Oh) ever again, but sad because I'll miss hearing about it and miss your interesting insights into life and road issues and fixing of problems when they arise. You've made a lot of friends out here--most of whom you'll never meet, but we'll think of you and look with hope for the next blog. With fond respect, Ciranda

I was gonna mention it actually Dave, will you continue the blog even after the tour is over? Or at least make another (eeeek!) for all your other ramblings which seem far more sensible and worth reading than most others? It'd be great to hear about your other gigs as well, and generally how the Rat shop is getting along. Plus your house!! It looks phenomenal! Tim

So what did you read regarding your thoughts & ponderings above? Just asking.

Time I commented too to echo Ciranda's fine comment. I have also read your adventures from the beginning and will miss you terribly. All of us around the world have had the opportunity to be a part of the circus as it's rolled through our respective towns - or in my case all the Australian shows cos one just wasn't enough. Thank you for all the entertainment you've provided us with Dave - both aural and written. You should be enormously proud of your achievements, I hope this life continues to deliver all that you desire and more...
