Like many American bands, they favored the V-Dosc as their choice of system as their FOH engineer Victor claims to be one of the first to have ever toured the US using it. A relatively short West Coast leg of the tour - 7 shows in 11 days and like most American bands, the engineers were set on which equipment they preferred. A three hour sound check each day and straightforward shows. This show is different in the fact that the band and crew's preferred choice of language is Spanish and there was no English spoken in Monitor world at all. This is why Rat chose 3 out of the 4 crew to be Spanish speaking.

The biggest challenge is probably the sheer size of the set. It has a full mariachi band plus the main band including keyboard, drums, guitars, piano and two backing singers and they ALL have In Ears - 15 of which are mono and 4 of which are stereo. Instead of just having to please 5 in a normal show, you now have to please 17 people which is why Pepe Aguilar has chosen to have 2 guys mixing. If you see people running on stage during the show, don't panic, it's either their runner, their stage manager or road manager all running to communicate what is needed so that things run smoothly. It's fantastic, their communication is so stable considering how many people have to be pleased in one shot!
