Description (revised)

You are bidding on two advertising spaces which are located on the on the humanly back sides of the shirts worn by the Sound engineer and Lighting designer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Red Hot Chili Pepper's sound engineer DaveRat and Pepper's lighting guy Scott the Lampi are in dire need of new decorations for the front of house mix area. As you can see in the photo below our Autumn motif, while very heart warming, is no longer in season.

In order to finance a new theme we have decided to offer the illustrious and highly visible space on the backs of our shirts for hire.

Here is the deal if you win the auction:

  • You email us a Jpeg or Gif of the advertisiment you would like displayed.
  • We will then print the graphic onto two 8-1/2" x 11" pieces of paper and
  • At the agreed upon show date, the Pepper's roadies Scott the Lampi and Dave Rat will afix the ad to the back of our shirts for the duration of the Peppers live perfomance, approximately 90 minutes.
  • You can choose any upcoming Chili Peppers show you wish to have your ad displayed. For upcomming show dates look here. http://www.pollstar.com/tour/searchall.pl?By=All&Content=red%2Bhot%2Bchili%2Bpeppers
  • Roadies Dave and Scott will both simultaneously wear your ad
  • Roadies Dave and Scott will be located at the sound and light boards located in the middle of the arena floor during the show.
  • We guarantee that at least tens and tens of people will see your advertisiment.
  • We will take a photograph roadie's Dave and Scott wearing your ad during the show and then email it to you within 2 days of the performance. So you will end up with a fairly nice (hey, we are roadies, not photographers) picture of us wearing your ad during the show!
  • If we get in trouble or are prevented from fullfilling our side of the deal for any reason, we will refund your bid in full. (Hopefully this wont happen)
  • Though we are very flexible and adventurous, it is concievable that an ad may not be appropriate or overly boring, so for that reason, we retain the right to turn down certain content at our sole discresion and will either refuse ot return any and all payments and/or you can send us an ad we like better.

Though this is our first ebay advertising endeavor, it important to realize that we are not amatures in the advertising realm and you can trust us with your ad campaign. As you can clearly see below, Dave Rat has previous experience in selling ad space on the back of his head, when bald, which has generated two's of dollars.

The proceeds from this auction, if any, will mainly go towards the redecoration of the Front of House mix area which is that place out in the middle of the arena floor where the roadies hang out during the rock show. We estimate the cost of the theme change could cost five's and five's of dollars. Unless we make enough money to recarpet the area. We have had our current carpet since Fresno:

And though it is comfy, it is getting a bit mucky after 30 rock shows and lacks its original appeal:

In case you were wondering which decorational direction we are thinking about, we are seriously considering embracing a tropical motif for the upcomming winter segments of the tour.

Oh, and also if you are curious and want to know more about Dave and Scott, our credibility, background and/or roadies in general, you may want to check out:

Good luck bidding!

Oh, forgot to mention that we are donating 25% of the proceeds to the Surfrider Foundation. You know the whale saving humans, dolphin lovers that rock out by fighting to keep the ocean clean and healthy.
