Actually no, the manual (Page 16) says for mono bridge operation, you use the Speakon for channel one. BUT, you have to use the +1 and the +2 pin, NOT the -1 pin. It's the same as if you use the binding posts, you use the + terminals on Channel 1 &2 only for bridge mode. Never the (-).

So what this means is you're only getting half the power out of your amp from what you're expecting. I suggest you remove the Speakon from the amp side and just put the wire directly on the binding posts. And watch the polarity. 2+ on the Speakon is treated as the (-) out to the speakers, as is channel 2's (+) on the binding posts.

But you will have to re-wire your speakers for series first. Otherwise the amps will shut down on you or burn up from running the impedance to low, while in bridge mode. Just flipping the bridge switch doesn't bridge the amp. All that does is put the channel 2 input stage in opposite polarity of channel one. The bridging occurs when you use both positive terminals of the amp in conjuction with the bridge mode switch.

I'm sure when you talk to Dave, he will straighten it all out for you.

Greg

: Well, on the speakon end the goes to my amp(channel 1), I'm using two of the four pins, 1+/1-. And the other end that goes to my subs is in the 1+/1- as well. And then I set the bridge switch to the "on" position. I don't know if this is the right way, but I believe is the way the owner's manual says.
